South East Radiotherapy Trust (SERT) - Providing free and confidential transport for cancer patients who require radiotherapy living in the South East.
Established in 2005, SERT is a volunteer-based transport service covering the South East of Ireland. Our vehicles provide pick up from collection points to hospital and back again for patients undergoing radiotherapy. SERT currently provides transportation from Waterford City, Clonmel, Dungarvan, Kilkenny, Wexford and South Tipperary to the UPMC Whitfield Cancer Centre in Waterford.
SERT currently has a fleet of five vehicles carrying up to eight patients at a time. Each vehicle is driven by one of our 150 plus volunteers on a rota basis.
Our Mission
SERT's mission is to provide transport for cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy at the UPMC Whitfield Cancer Centre in Waterford.
